Louzan Fashion Hospitality is looking for a skilled and creative Pastry Chef to join our culinary team. As a Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for preparing a variety of baked goods, desserts, and pastries to the highest standards of quality and presentation. Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare a wide range of pastries, desserts, and baked goods including cakes, cookies, tarts, pastries, and other specialty items.
- Develop and design new dessert recipes, keeping up with the latest trends and customer preferences.
- Ensure all pastry items are prepared according to the highest quality standards, focusing on taste, texture, and presentation.
- Maintain an organized and clean work environment, ensuring compliance with food safety and hygiene standards.
- Manage inventory for pastry ingredients and supplies, ensuring the kitchen is adequately stocked.
- Collaborate with the Head Chef and kitchen team to ensure timely preparation and delivery of pastries and desserts.
- Train and mentor junior pastry staff, sharing your expertise and techniques.
- Maintain an efficient work schedule and ensure that pastries are ready for service during peak hours.
- Monitor and control food costs, minimize waste, and optimize the use of ingredients.
- Work closely with the front-of-house staff to ensure excellent service and customer satisfaction.
- Handle special customer requests, such as custom cakes or desserts for events, and ensure they are executed to perfection.
Job Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Pastry Chef or in a similar role, with at least 2-3 years of experience in a high-volume kitchen environment.
- Extensive knowledge of pastry techniques, dessert preparation, and baking methods.
- Creative and passionate about developing new desserts and baked goods.
- Strong attention to detail and presentation skills.
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.
- Understanding of food safety and hygiene standards.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team while managing individual tasks.
- Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Culinary degree or certification in pastry arts is preferred.
- Fluent in English; knowledge of additional languages is a plus.
