At KAYA Restaurant and Lounge in Bahrain, we are looking for warm, welcoming, and professional individuals to join our team as Hostesses. Job Description:

As a Hostess at KAYA, you will be responsible for providing exceptional guest service by greeting and seating guests, managing reservations, and ensuring a smooth and efficient dining experience. You will be an integral part of the team, ensuring that each guest feels welcomed and valued from the moment they arrive.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Guest Reception:
    Greet and welcome guests as they arrive with a friendly, warm, and professional attitude.
    Assist guests in seating them according to their preferences and ensure they are comfortable.
    Provide a brief overview of the restaurant’s layout, facilities, and any specials or promotions.
  • Reservation Management:
    Manage guest reservations and ensure efficient seating arrangements.
    Ensure that reservation schedules are followed and communicate any delays or adjustments to the guests.
    Assist with walk-in guests and maintain an organized and accurate waitlist.
  • Guest Assistance:
    Answer phone calls and assist with inquiries about availability, menu, or services.
    Assist guests with any special requests, such as dietary requirements, and direct them to the appropriate staff when necessary.
    Handle guest complaints or concerns in a professional manner and escalate to management if needed.
  • Maintaining Cleanliness & Organization:
    Ensure the front-of-house area is clean and tidy, including the entrance and waiting area.
    Assist with setting up the dining area, ensuring that tables are appropriately prepared and well-presented.
    Maintain organization at the entrance and manage guest flow during busy periods.
  • Team Collaboration:
    Work closely with the waitstaff, management, and other team members to ensure smooth service.
    Assist with coordinating seating arrangements and helping to ensure that all guests are served efficiently and on time.

Job Requirements:

  • Experience:
    Previous experience in hospitality or customer service is preferred, but not required.
    A friendly and approachable attitude is essential, along with a willingness to learn.
  • Skills and Qualities:
    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
    Ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
    A positive, enthusiastic personality with a professional appearance.
    Ability to multitask and manage time effectively.
  • Physical Requirements:
    Ability to stand for extended periods and move around the dining area.
    Ability to lift and carry small items such as menus or office supplies.
