Job Description:

As a Runner at KAYA, you will work closely with the waitstaff and kitchen team to ensure timely and accurate delivery of food and beverages to guests. Your role is crucial to maintaining the efficiency of service and ensuring guests receive a high-quality experience throughout their visit.

Key Responsibilities:

• Food & Beverage Delivery:
  Deliver food and beverages from the kitchen to guests’ tables quickly and accurately.
  Ensure orders are correct and meet KAYA’s high-quality standards before delivering to guests.
  Assist in managing the flow of orders between the kitchen, bar, and dining area.
• Collaboration with Waitstaff:
  Support waiters and waitresses by bringing orders from the kitchen, drinks from the bar, and clearing empty plates.
  Assist waitstaff in maintaining service pace, especially during busy periods.
  Communicate effectively with waitstaff to ensure smooth and timely service.
• Cleanliness & Organization:
  Ensure that service areas are clean and organized, including removing empty plates, glassware, and cutlery.
  Maintain the cleanliness of the restaurant and dining areas to ensure guests feel comfortable.
  Restock service stations and ensure all required items are available for use during service.
• Assisting with Special Requests:
  Address any minor guest requests (such as bringing extra condiments or drinks).
  Ensure guests’ needs are met in a timely and friendly manner, ensuring satisfaction.
• Teamwork & Efficiency:
  Work efficiently with the kitchen, bar, and service teams to ensure orders are completed and delivered promptly.
  Maintain a positive and energetic attitude, contributing to a fun and collaborative work environment.

Job Requirements:

• Experience:
  Previous experience in a food service or hospitality role is preferred but not required.
  Enthusiasm and a willingness to learn are essential for success in this role.
• Skills and Qualities:
  Strong teamwork and communication skills.
  Ability to stay organized and efficient, especially in busy or high-pressure situations.
  A positive, energetic, and friendly personality.
  Excellent time management skills with the ability to multitask.
  Basic knowledge of food and beverage items is a plus (training will be provided).
• Physical Requirements:
  Ability to stand for long periods and carry trays of food and beverages.
  Ability to lift and transport items as necessary.
