Demi Chef de Partie (Pastry) – The Tower Plaza Hotel Dubai

The Tower Plaza Hotel Dubai is seeking a talented and passionate Demi Chef de Partie (Pastry) to join our dynamic culinary team. The ideal candidate will support the Pastry Chef in preparing high‑quality desserts, pastries, and baked items while maintaining consistency, creativity, and adherence to hotel standards.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation, production, and presentation of pastries, desserts, and baked goods.
  • Follow recipes, portion controls, and presentation specifications as set by the Pastry Chef.
  • Ensure all pastry items meet the hotel’s quality, taste, and visual standards.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pastry section in compliance with HACCP and food safety guidelines.
  • Monitor stock levels, assist with inventory, and report shortages to the Pastry Chef.
  • Support in developing new pastry items, seasonal menus, and special event offerings.
  • Ensure proper handling, storage, and labeling of all ingredients and finished products.
  • Collaborate with the culinary team to ensure smooth kitchen operations during service.
  • Uphold the hotel’s standards of hygiene, grooming, and professional conduct.

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Commis or Demi Chef de Partie in a pastry kitchen, preferably within a hotel or high‑volume restaurant.
  • Strong knowledge of pastry techniques, baking methods, and dessert preparation.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure and maintain consistency during busy operations.
  • Creativity, attention to detail, and a passion for pastry arts.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays as required.
  • Culinary diploma or relevant pastry certification is an advantage.
