Supervisor — Al Ain
PDL Coffee Co is seeking a hands-on, customer-focused Supervisor to lead daily operations at our Al Ain location. This role combines team leadership, quality control, and guest experience ownership to ensure smooth café operations and uphold PDL’s standards.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Shift Leadership and Team Management — Supervise baristas and floor staff; assign duties, manage shift handovers, and maintain staffing levels.
  • Customer Experience — Ensure fast, friendly service; handle guest feedback and resolve issues promptly and professionally.
  • Operational Excellence — Oversee opening and closing procedures, cash handling, POS reconciliation, and daily checklists.
  • Quality Control — Maintain beverage and food quality standards; monitor consistency, presentation, and portion control.
  • Training and Development — Coach new hires, run on-the-job training, and support ongoing skill development for the team.
  • Inventory and Stock Management — Track stock levels, place orders with suppliers as needed, and minimize waste.
  • Health Safety and Cleanliness — Enforce hygiene, food safety, and workplace safety standards; ensure the café meets regulatory requirements.
  • Reporting and Communication — Provide shift reports to management, communicate promotions or menu changes to staff, and support local marketing initiatives.

Requirements

  • Experience — Minimum 2 years in a supervisory or lead role within a café, restaurant, or hospitality environment.
  • Skills — Strong leadership, excellent communication, customer service orientation, and basic financial literacy for cash handling and reporting.
  • Qualifications — High school diploma or equivalent; hospitality or food service certification is a plus.
  • Availability — Flexible schedule including weekends and public holidays.
  • Personal Attributes — Reliable, proactive, calm under pressure, and committed to delivering consistent quality.
  • Language — Proficiency in English; Arabic is an advantage.
  • Legal — Right to work in the UAE and ability to commute to Al Ain.
