We are hiring Runners to join the pre‑opening team at Irish Vickers Mövenpick Grand Al Bustan Dubai. This is a hands‑on role ideal for energetic, reliable team players who keep service flowing smoothly during busy shifts. As a Runner you’ll be the link between kitchen, bar, and front‑of‑house teams—ensuring orders reach guests quickly, tables are reset efficiently, and service stations remain stocked. Preference will be given to candidates who are locally available and can start immediately. If you enjoy fast‑paced environments, take pride in attention to detail, and want to help shape a new venue from day one, we’d love to hear from you.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Deliver orders from kitchen and bar to tables promptly and accurately.
  • Assist servers and bartenders with clearing plates, refilling water, and bussing tables.
  • Reset tables quickly and correctly: replace cutlery, glassware, napkins, and condiments.
  • Maintain service stations stocked with cutlery, condiments, glassware, and disposables.
  • Communicate clearly with kitchen and FOH teams to report order status, special requests, or issues.
  • Follow hygiene and safety procedures when handling food, trays, and equipment.
  • Support opening and closing tasks including basic cleaning, restocking, and waste disposal.
  • Assist with event setups and pre‑opening preparations as required.

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a runner, food runner, or in a similar support role is an advantage but not essential.
  • Physically fit and able to move quickly and safely across the dining area; able to carry trays and lift moderate weights.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and a proactive attitude toward guest needs and service flow.
  • Willingness to learn and follow direction from senior staff.
  • Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
  • Fluent English is preferred; additional languages are a plus.
  • Locally available candidates who can join immediately will be prioritised.
