Zapata Je Mexican Restaurant is seeking a warm, welcoming, and highly organized Hostess to join our pre-opening team ahead of our grand launch at J1 Beach, Dubai in July 2025. As the first point of contact for guests, you will play a crucial role in delivering an exceptional Mexican dining experience, ensuring smooth guest seating, reservations, and service coordination. If you thrive in creating a vibrant, inviting atmosphere, this is your chance to be part of Dubai’s newest beachfront dining destination!

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist in pre-opening preparations, including setting up reservation systems and seating arrangements.
  • Greet guests with warmth and professionalism, creating an engaging first impression.
  • Manage reservations, guest lists, and seating assignments to ensure smooth service flow.
  • Coordinate with waitstaff and management to optimize table turnover and guest satisfaction.
  • Provide recommendations on the restaurant’s authentic Mexican dishes and rich tequila selections.
  • Handle guest inquiries in a friendly and knowledgeable manner.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and presentation of the host stand and entrance area.
  • Support pre-launch events, promotions, and brand activations.

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Hostess in a restaurant or hospitality environment.
  • Pre-opening experience in setting up front-of-house operations is preferred.
  • Strong customer service and guest engagement skills.
  • Organizational abilities and attention to detail in managing reservations and seating flow.
  • Positive, friendly, and professional attitude with excellent communication skills.
  • Fluency in English; multilingual abilities are an advantage.
