Creekside Hotel Dubai is seeking a skilled General Technician to join our engineering team and help maintain the high standards of comfort and safety our guests expect. This hands-on role is ideal for a practical, solution-focused professional who can perform routine maintenance, troubleshoot building systems, and respond quickly to guest and operational requests. You will work across mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC tasks to ensure smooth daily operations and contribute to a safe, well-maintained property.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Routine Maintenance: Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and building systems.
  • Repairs and Troubleshooting: Diagnose faults, perform repairs, and restore equipment to full working order with minimal disruption.
  • Guest Requests: Respond promptly and courteously to guest maintenance requests and follow up to ensure satisfaction.
  • Safety and Compliance: Adhere to safety procedures, report hazards, and assist with safety inspections and audits.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate maintenance logs, update work orders, and report recurring issues to the Engineering Coordinator.
  • Support Projects: Assist with installation, refurbishment, and minor renovation tasks as required.
  • Shift Flexibility: Participate in shift rotations and be available for on-call duties when scheduled.

Requirements

  • Qualification: Technical certificate, trade qualification, or equivalent experience in electrical, mechanical, plumbing, or HVAC disciplines.
  • Experience: Minimum 1–2 years in hotel, facility, or building maintenance preferred.
  • Skills: Strong practical skills in troubleshooting and repair; basic knowledge of building systems and hand/power tools.
  • Attributes: Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Physical: Able to perform physical tasks, lift equipment, and work at heights when required.
  • Availability: Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and public holidays.
  • Language and IT: Good command of English; basic IT skills for logging work orders and using maintenance systems.
