We are hiring a reliable, customer‑focused Cashier to join the front‑of‑house team at an AlphaMind Group venue in Dubai. The Cashier will manage point‑of‑sale transactions, handle cash and card payments accurately, support guest check‑out, and assist with basic administrative and reconciliation tasks. This is a full‑time role with evening and weekend shifts.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Point‑of‑sale operations: Process cash, card and digital payments quickly and accurately using the POS system.
  • Cash handling: Open and close tills, perform cash counts, reconcile daily takings and prepare deposit summaries.
  • Guest service: Provide friendly, efficient check‑out service; answer basic billing queries and resolve simple payment issues.
  • Receipts & records: Issue receipts, manage refunds and voids according to company policy, and maintain accurate transaction logs.
  • Coordination: Liaise with FOH and management on billing discrepancies, no‑shows, and pre‑authorisations.
  • Reporting: Prepare end‑of‑shift reports, flag discrepancies, and assist with daily financial paperwork.
  • Compliance: Follow cash‑handling, POS and anti‑fraud procedures; ensure confidentiality of payment information.
  • Support tasks: Assist with light administrative duties, stock checks for the cashier station, and guest enquiries when required.

Requirements

  • Experience: Minimum 1 year experience handling POS systems and cash reconciliation in restaurants, cafés, hotels or retail.
  • Skills: Strong numeracy, attention to detail, and accuracy under pressure; comfortable with basic accounting tasks.
  • Customer focus: Polite, patient and professional when dealing with guests and payment issues.
  • Tech: Familiarity with common POS systems and card‑terminal procedures.
  • Availability: Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and public holidays.
  • Language: Fluent English; additional languages are an advantage.
  • Presentation: Professional grooming and a tidy appearance.
  • Right to work: Legal authorization to work in the UAE.
