Taj Hotels Dubai is seeking an energetic, friendly barista who loves coffee and connecting with people. You will craft exceptional espresso-based beverages, deliver warm service, and help create memorable mornings and great days for every guest.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Prepare beverages: Pull espresso shots, steam milk, and prepare specialty coffee and tea to Taj quality standards.
  • Guest service: Greet guests warmly, take orders accurately, and provide recommendations with a positive attitude.
  • Maintain station: Keep the coffee station, equipment, and service area clean, organized, and stocked.
  • Quality control: Monitor beverage consistency, taste, and presentation; follow recipes and portion controls.
  • Cash handling: Process payments, issue receipts, and balance the till as required.
  • Teamwork: Collaborate with kitchen and front-of-house teams to ensure smooth service during peak periods.
  • Safety and compliance: Follow food safety, hygiene, and workplace safety procedures at all times.
  • Guest recovery: Handle guest feedback professionally and escalate issues to supervisors when needed.

Requirements

  • Experience: Previous barista or café service experience preferred; hospitality experience accepted.
  • Skills: Strong customer-service skills; ability to work quickly and accurately under pressure.
  • Knowledge: Familiarity with espresso machines, grinders, and basic coffee brewing techniques.
  • Personal qualities: Energetic, friendly, punctual, and presentable with a guest-first mindset.
  • Availability: Flexible schedule including early mornings, weekends, and public holidays.
  • Legal: Right to work in the UAE and any required local certifications for food handling.
